WARM Project
In the immediate weeks after Hurricane Helene, we were fortunate the weather remained warm, allowing initial rescue and recovery efforts to unfold. As nighttime temperatures began to dip into the 20s and 30s, our objective shifted to supplying heating sources to over 1,000 homes in the greater Spruce Pine area and nearby communities.
How it works…
- IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF HEAT, please check in at the front of the Community Center in the old Food Lion Building. We are distributing generators, propane tanks, electric and propane heaters. You will sign a quick form and your order will be fulfilled from the back of the warehouse. Feel free to do some shopping in the store while you wait!
- We are open Tuesday – Saturday 9am-2pm. We are closed on Sunday and Monday.
